Dialogic Gatherings create an inclusive classroom where students strengthen their learning, foster critical thinking and communicative abilities, and make sure no one is left behind. At the same time, this successful educational action creates a safe and supporting environment where everybody’s contribution is welcomed and valued. The gatherings seek to create a dialogic space where students’ participation is prioritised, encouraged and leveraged, paying special attention to those who traditionally do not take part in classroom interactions. There is no minimum or maximum age to participate in Dialogic Gatherings, which have been tried and tested from preschool right up to adult education, in various different languages. They also work in multilingual settings, as their structure encourages language acquisition through constant peer interactions and references to the materials studied.
