The aim of the Student Support Team (SST) is to enhance all students’ educational experience and well-being. Members of the SST are entrusted with fostering effective collaboration to thoroughly assess the diverse needs of students and formulate tailored support strategies. They play a pivotal role in identifying issues, managing referrals among school staff, and providing essential reassurance and guidance to students facing challenges. The SST takes on the task of identifying students who may be particularly vulnerable and in need of specialised support either within the school framework or through external agencies. Typically, the SST comprises a varied group of professionals including the School Principal, Deputy/Assistant Principals, Year Heads/Form Tutors, Guidance Counsellor, Pastoral Care Coordinator, Special Needs Coordinator, Behaviour Support Teacher, Psychologist, and other relevant personnel, depending on the specific requirements and context of the school community.
